Hanka Nenadálová

When I was 5, my uncle taught me how to ride a bike. He had not known then, what huge chapter in my life he had started. I got my first big bike with drop handlebars at thirteen. About seven years later, I met a group of friends who invited me to attend one of the oldest Czech biking marathons – the so-called King of Šumava.

I was consumed! It went very quickly after that, one race after another, and over time, I improved into quite a decent racer. Racing has become a part of my life. A lot of water has run through the currents since and I am still having fun. I’ve attended uncount races. 

During my beginnings, I’ve received tremendous help from my friends’ amateur team. Later on, I had support from an athletic team called Maraton.cz. As time passed, I will have discovered all the races in Czech Republic. I’ve achieved a podium finish in Czech XCM Cup overall standings and participated in Polish stage races Sudety Challenge and Epic Four, where I finished on the podium as well. Back in the Czech republic, I participated three times in the stage race Trilogy and achieved 2nd place. The result I’m most proud of is my 2nd place in MME overall standings (European XCM Championship). Close second favorites are my 3rd place in one of Austria’s most difficult races, the Salzkammer Gut 211km, in 2018, and my 1st and 2nd place finishes at the Obr Drásal races from years 2016 and 2020, respectively.

 For nearly three years now, I have been representing a Czech brand called R2, which I hope to continue doing. Another one of my passions is running. I currently try to compete in marathon-length races.

During my travels, I met Štěpán and was impressed by his life story and his project, which introduces a unique look at cycling. His original jerseys make me a part of the WOLFman team, a band of enthusiasts on the same frequency.
